Jim Henry served in the confederate army. there is a copy of his military file and applicatio n for penison at the Oklahoma Historical Society in Oklahoma City. The following is where Jam es H was captured:


Was at the Capture at Stone River Battle Field in Murfreesboro,Tenn.
Confedertates Attack the Round Forest. Confedertates infantry repeatedly attacked the Union h eld woods on Dec 31, 1862, bur failed to capture this important position. The Confedertate s that were capture were held in what is now called the "Killing Pens". Where 1,800 Confedert ates soldiers were killed in 1 Hr.
