Emmanuel Kelley b. abt. 1807 d. March 21, 1859 married Nancy Kindred of Estill County. They are parents of my gr.gr. grandmother, Lucinda Kelley Kates. Emmanuel is son of Samuel Kelley and Elizabeth ? Kelley.

No mention is made of Emmanuel's wife, there is no assurance that the children are of Nancy Kindred, however, the older ones at least seem probable. The 16 year old Nathaniel was most likely named for his grandfather, Nathaniel Kindred.

The Kelley's are my least researched family, but I'm working on it. I was recently contacted by a Kelley cousin, Don Kelley. A fantastic reward in genealogy--finding kin. My new found cousin's gr. grandfather, Samuel Kelley, Jr. was my gr. grandfather, Emmanuel's brother.

Harrison Kelley was born abt. 1814. He married 1st, Juliann Kindred and 2nd, in 1872, Vida Witt. He was, as his father, also a minister.

I also have Harrrison's marriage in 1833 to Paulina ? of Estill County, Ky.

Jemima Kelley, daughter of Samuel and Elizabeth Kelley, was born Dec. 6, 1800. She married Ryan Richardson May 3, 1820 in Red Lick, Estill Co. Kentucky. He was born May 14, 1800 in near present-day, Jinks, Estill Co. KY. Ryan's parents were John Richardson and Mary Ryan.
