Sarah Emans
daughter of Andries Emans and Rebecca Van Cleef

Sarah Emans was born about 1705 in Gravesend, New York. She married Teunis Polhemus, son of Reverand Theodore Polhemus. Teunis was born about 1675 and died in 1743. Sarah died iin about 1758 in Orange City, New York. They lived in Flatbush in 1720, but prior to that they lived in Jamaica, New York.

Their children are Theodorus Polhemus born 1720 in New York and married to Margarita Remsen; Andries Polhemus born 1722 in New York; Elizabeth Polhemus born about 1725 in Jamaica, New York, died on May 19, 1803 and married to Daniel Harring about 1746 in Tappan, Rockland County, New York; Rebecca Polhemus born August 18, 1727 in New York, died May 19, 1803 on Somerset County, New Jersey and married to Tobias Nevins on May 18, 1745 in Somerset County, New Jersey; and Aertje Polhemus born 1730 in New York.
