Ellis William “Bud’’ Korver, 73, of Raytown, formerly of Lebanon, died Friday, April 20, 2001.He was born March 28, 1928, in Adrian, Minn., and served in the Army in 1947-48.
Mr. Korver was preceded in death by his parents, John and Myrtle Korver; a brother, Robert Korver; his previous wife, Betty Wallace Korver; and a sister, Kathleen Toft. He moved to Raytown from Lebanon six days before his death.
He is survived by his wife, Rennah M. Korver; four sons, Kent, Mark, Val and Bart Korver; a brother, Kenneth Korver of Carmel, Calif.; three sisters, Charlotte McAttee and Shirley Nunn, both of Springfield; and Sharon Korver of Mission, Kan.; also several stepchildren, grandchildren and great-grandchildren; also several friends of Lebanon.
Funeral services for Ellis William “Bud’’ Korver were held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, April 24, 2001, at Christ Triumphant Church in Lee’s Summit, with a graveside service directed by Mount Washington Forever Cemetery. Burial was at Cook Cemetery at Hermitage, with Military Rites.
