Dear Mrs. Tittle,

Received your wonderful letter in the mail this morning. What a thrill it was!

I'll send you the first page on the Clarks, but will beg off until after Easter to send you the rest of the information I have on all the different families. I do not have complete families for some of Thomas Clark II's children, on others fairly complete, except for dates. Will get it all to you as fast as I can, although it may have to be in installments. Some of it may not be correct, but it is the best we have at present.

Thank you so much for your family data. Yes, I would like as complete a family history of Didama Clark Tittle's family that you can send me--names--dates--places--marriages.

Thomas Clark the 2nd had 10 children, all born in Warren Co., Tenn.:
1. Sarah, b Aug 17, 1805, m Joseph Byars
2. Didama, b July 22, 1807 m Anthony Tittle
twins--
3. Agnes, b Aug 17, 1809 m Nathan Watkins
4. Margaret, b Aug 17, 1809 m Sam Jones
5. Lovinia, b Sept 11, 1811 m Wm Isham Cole 6. John, b Feb 14, 1815 m Eliza Carroll
7. James, b Oct 3 1817 m 1st Minera McKaig; 2nd Merinda (Miller) Sunderland
8. Thomas, b Jan 27, 1820 m Emeline Ferguson
9. Benjamin, b Mar 17, 1822 m Mary Ann Martin
10. Elizabeth J, b Mar 9, 1828 m George M Carroll

Of the names in the old account book, I do not know Abner or Nathan Martin, nor Samuel C Tittle. The Mrs. Watkins was, I imagine, Agnes Clark Watkins, William Clark, probably a brother of Thomas 2nd. James and Benjamin Clark, brothers of Didama, or possibly Thomas. I don't know where Joseph fits in. Yes, I'd say Peter A Tittle was the Peter Aams Tittle I spoke of.

In the list of Didama's children, the James Upton tittle was probably named for Elizabeth Upton's father. Thomas C. would be for Didama's father. Joseph Byars for a brother-in-law. And, yes, Agnes for her sister, my great grandmother as well as most of the other names.

I have very little more on the Tittle family than the names of those that married into the Clark family. The father of Peter A. and John Tittle was supposed to be--I'm not quite sure of the spelling--Tawner [probably Tavenor, but he was not Peter A.'s father] Tittle. Do you have anyone in your data by this name or something like it?

My father was Elisha Clark Watkins. I'm Elsie Alma Watkins, m James Virgil Stephens (Jack); have three children--2 girls and a boy--Rosemary Elsie, Laura May, and James Virgil, Jr. (Jim). Will give you the dates in the Clark family data. By the way, you are to keep all these pages as I have mine on family charts. I'll try not to be too long in getting it to you.

Best wishes to you,
Dear Cousins,
Sincerely, Elsie A. Stephens
