     William Linn Jamison was born on 29 January 1873 at Guinn's Creek, Pike Co, MO.^1,2,3 He was the son of Avery Jasper Jamison and Mary Bradley. William Linn Jamison married Francis A. Smith, daughter of James M. Smith and Tabitha C. Watts, on 15 January 1891 at Lincoln Co, MO.^2,3 William Linn Jamison and Francis A.      William Wesley Jamison was born on 21 May 1838 at MO.^1,2 He was the son of Joseph Jamison and Catherine Matilda (?). As a young man William taught school for several years in Pike and Lincoln Counties. He also worked as a carpenter to some extent. At the outbreak of the Civil War he was enrolled in Company C, 49th Enrolled Missouri Militia and served as a scout.³ William Wesley Jamison married Harriet E. Jamison, daughter of William Jamison and Susanna Steele, on 26 October 1862 at Lincoln Co, MO.⁴ William Wesley Jamison and Harriet E. Jamison appeared on the 1870 Federal Census of Hurricane township, Lincoln Co, MO, enumerated 26 August 1870, reporting the family owned real estate valued at $4500 and personal property valued at $1300. Their children Joseph Lee and Louetta were listed as living with them.⁵ William Wesley Jamison and Harriet E. Jamison appeared on the 1880 Federal Census of Hurricane township, Lincoln Co, MO, enumerated 8 June 1880.
