     Eliza ? married James Gilliland, son of Daniel Gilliland and Elizabeth Davis.1 On June 7, 1831, James and Eliza of Spencer County, Kentucky sold a parcel of land on the waters of Long Run, that was laid off to James in the division of Daniel Gilliland's estate, to John Fergerson for $144.1

     Thomas Gilleland married Susannah ?1 On July 1, 1831, Thomas purchased 58.99 acres of public land in Hendricks County, Indiana described as the N½ of the NW¼ of Section 4, Township 14N, Range 1W.2 Thomas Gilleland died before May 1836 at Hendricks County, Indiana.3

In the probate court of Hendricks County, Indiana, May Term 1836, his widow, Susannah, was granted letters of administration for his estate.4 In the August Term 1839, Susannah, as administratrix, filed an inventory and appraisement in probate court. This record also names their children.5 In the February Term 1840, Henry H. Marvin was appointed guardian ad litem for the minor heirs of Thomas - George N., Joseph W., John T., Martha Ann, and Elizabeth. It was also ordered that the tract of land described as the N1/2 of the NW1/4 of Section Four in Township Fourteen North of Range One West, containing 50 acres, be sold.6

     Lovina Pope was born circa 1836 at Indiana.2 She married John T. Gilleland, son of Thomas Gilleland and Susannah ?, on 4 July 1852 at Hendricks County, Indiana.1 Lovina Pope and John T. Gilleland appeared on the 1860 Federal Census of Albany, Gentry County, Missouri, enumerated 10 July 1860. Their children Orion, Cora and Olline were listed as living with them.2 Lovina Pope appeared on the 1870 Federal Census of Jefferson township, Andrew County, Missouri, enumerated 28 June 1870. Her children Orion, Cora, Emma and William were listed as living with her.3
