Mehitable Scott, wife of Reuben Ellis, was born in Sunderland, May 3rd,1722, and died in Ashfield, December 2nd, 1804, in the 83rd year of herage. Her parents, Richard and Elizabeth Scott, were among the earlysettlers in Sunderland. She was said to have been a good and Christianwoman. It is probable that both she and her husband Reuben wee membersof the Baptist church. She was buried beside her husband in the Ellisneighborhood burying ground. |
