Henry Mundy

Little is actually known about Henry Mundy, but he did have 5 children, which, we believe, were all born in North Carolina.

In the book Marion County, Indiana Complete Probate Records Jan 1830 - Aug 1852 Abstracted by Jane Eaglesfield Darlington in Sept 1994, we find the following:

March 1841 term - Estate of Henry MONDAY, deceased. (pp. 359-63)

On 30 November 1839 Special Letters of Administration granted Henry S. MONDAY, bond of $200 with Thomas ABBOTT, security. Approved 11 February 1840. 7 December 1839 inventory filed, appraised by John BARLEY and Giles TAYLOR taken 6 December 1839. Sale bill filed 20 February 1841, sale held 28 December 1839 William A. ROBERTSON, clerk. Purchasers: James SNOW, Henry S. MONDY,  Frederick STARGIN, Widow MUNDY, Henry MYERS, Jacob SULGROVE, John MOORE, William SNOW, James SUTTON, Henry WISHARD, Thomas ABBOTT, John HERBERT, William G. MILES, David GLIMPS, David FISHER, Salisbury JONES, Eli GLIMPS. On 8 March 1841 administrator files accounts current; paid: YANDES & WILKINS, John BAILY, Giles TAYLOR, DOUGLASS & NOEL, James J. STRETCHER, MORRIS & BROTHERS, R. ANDERSON, R.B. DUNCAN. . . 5 heirs: Larkin, Henry MYERS and wife Lucinda, late MONDY,(no marriage record), Samuel, Henry S. and Henry S., guardian of John's heirs.
