Regnier V succeeded his father. He took the part of his uncle Lambert,
Countof Lorraine, in the quarrel between Lambert and Godfrey, Duke of
Lothair. They were defeated in the Battle of Florences, September 12,
1015. Regnier Vwas later reconciled with Godfrey through the mediation
of the Bishops of Verdun and Cambrai. [91502.ftw]
