This is the barn that was on John Reinoehl's place, originally
built in
1911 by Allie Saxton
for Daniel Brovont. Bought 80 acres in Eden Township, Mason
Co., MI, Section
4, S 1/2 of NW 1/4. Was listed in the 1897 plat map. Also listed
on that same map
was B. Brevont in section 31, Custer Township, E 1/2 of SE 1/4,
40 acres. This is
his brother Benjamin Brovont who married his wife Emma
Bottorff's sister
Amanda Bottorff. This property then was sold to John H. Reinoehl
on the 13th Sep 1924
when the Daniel Brovont family moved back to Rossville, IN.

name was Emma Bottoroff. She died when she was only 41 or 42. My mother
(Laura Brovont Saxton) was only 21 or 22 yr. old then. Her mother (Emma
Bottoroff) left a couple little ones and my mother and dad (Laura and Richard
Saxton) kept them for a year until Grandpa (Daniel Brovont) got married again (to
Barbara Metzger)".

aged 41 years, 1 month and 28 days. Deceased was born Dec. 23, 1857.
Services at the Conservative meetinghouse, from Heb. 9: 27, 28; also Rev. 14: 12, 13.
She leaves a companion, seven children, father, mother and four sisters. Disease, cancer of the Stomach.

31 July 2004: On a visit to the cemetery on 27 July 2004 I found the grave for
Daniel Brovont and there is only one grave. The cemetery listing is in error
and as the stone shows there is only one son to D. and B. Brovont.
This was then confused as being a stone for a D. and B. Brovont.)
