Do you have the impossible family? I descend from FIVE Brown lines and only one is a brother and sister in the early 1800's. The rest are distinct and researching Browns has taught me how to find the unfindable.

When I search for my family's past I learn all about the in-laws first. I have found that Eastern Kentucky families loved each other enough to migrated from the eastern seabord in the 1600's to Virginia in the 1700's to Kentucky in the 1800's.

You will find if you explore your different surnames' migrations patterns that your families likely married into families that were related by marriage a hundred years before.
It makes for a hard to follow puzzle which is why I put up this site.

BUT I NEED YOUR HELP
I would like to try to map out the migrations of the founding families of Eastern Kentucky. If your family moved into Eastern Kentucky before about 1830, would you please email ME. I will include your migration information on the map. This map is not even made yet. I have a good number of families but I'm waiting for a few more. Let me know if you'd like your family included on the map. This is a link to a migration map. If you don't see your family on it, its because you or someone else hasn't sent in your family's Eastern Kentucky migration data to me.

You might also want to post your migrations data or check for migration data at the Kentucky Migrations Project.

The Kentucky Migrations Project is a stand-alone project that aids researchers in finding where their families came from and went to. The information you provide will aid others in finding more about their families. You may submit your information (whether or families settled Eastern Kentucky or were just passing through). This site is great for finding others that are reasearching your Eastern Kentucky relatives.

They are a stand alone project developed to help researchers find where they families moved from and to. You might just be able to add to your Eastern Kentucky genealogy information!
