William AGLER was born 1750/1760 in England and was living in PA when
the
Revolutionaly War broke out, and consequently served for 7 yrs. for
his new
country under Gen. William Henery HARRISON. (This was poss Franklin
Co. PA
where son Jeremiah was b in 1801, or in Lancaster Co. where Peter was
b.) He
mar Mary "Polly" FOX, b 1750/1760, then moved to Stark Co. OH bef 1820
where
they pioneered on 160 acres of government land at Wilmot in Sugar
Creek Twp.
They lived out their lives in that county, both still living
1840.Married wife, Mary, in NJ. They lived in Cumerland County, PA by
1790 and 1800. The lived in an area of Cumberland Co. that is now
known as Union Co. In 1800 there is a Catherine Agler living in
Greenwood township, Cumberland Co, not far from where William's son,
William Jr., lived.

William and Mary (Fox) Agler eventually moved to Stark County Ohio and
settled in Sugar Creek Township where both died by 1846. Two of
William and Mary's children remained in PA, William Jr., who married
Elizabeth Graybill.
