Zula M. Lowry Edgemon                 January 26, 1865          December 27, 1940

       note:  Daughter of James M. Dodd and Fannie Holloway.
              Died at Springfield, Illinois at the age of 
              75 years,  11 months, and  1 day.  
              Was wife of Walter A. Edgemon.

Obituary
From the Jacksonville Journal, dated 2 July 1927...(Illinois) (Shirley Aleguas, thank you for sending this obituary)

Miss Julia Edgmon, a former resident of Morgan County, died Wednesday of this week at the Soldiers' and Sailors' Home in Quincy, where she had been employed as a nurse for the past seven years. Miss Edgmon was born at Waverly Sept. 9, 1860, and the family resided in Jacksonville for a number of years.

It has been stated that Julia Edgmon was sister to the above Walter Edgemon, children of Samuel and Lucinda Edgemon. If the 1860 year of birth stated in the obituary is correct, I do not find a Julia Edgemon on census records in the household of Samuel Edgemon. I do not know where this Julia Edgmon was buried...
