In the name of God Amen..

I, Hugh B. Phillips whose post office address is Western Grove Newton County Arkansas being of sound mind and in the proper exercise of mind do make and publish this my last will and testament revoking any and all former wills that I may have made this will being made on the 25th day of December 1911.

It is my will that should I die before my beloved wife Arminda Phillips that she hold and have the use of and proceeds from the following lands during her natural life now owned by me.

That is to say a part of the North West 1/4 of the North East 1/4 of Section 21 township seventeen N. Range 19 West bounded as follows commensing at the Southwest corner of said forty running north 220 yards thence running east 70 yards thence South 220 yards thence West 70 yards to the place of beginning.

And at her death this land I want sold and there shall be paid to my three daughters Francis McCoy, Areli Clark and Berna Moore twenty five dollars each and having previously given that amount to my two boys James B. Phillips and William M. Phillips, the remainder to be divided equally between the said Francis McCoy, Areli Clark, Berna Moore, James Phillips and William M. Phillips, Geraldine Ramsey.

It is my will that all the real property that I may own at my death other than that mentioned on the first page of this instrument and all of my personal property be sold and after paying all of my just debts and funeral expenses the remainder to be divided equally devided between my children namely Francis McCoy, Areli Clark, Berna Moore, James B. Phillips and William M. Phillips, Geraldine Ramsey.

And I hereby appoint my son James B. Phillips my executor and administrator to carry out the provisions of this will.

This will consists of two pages signed

Note: The wife named in above will was third wife of Hugh B. Phillips. He was a widower when he married her, Arminda Robinson Martin, April 20, 1896. His previous marriage was to Malinda Mallette on September 6, 1886 in Christian County, Missouri...and first marriage was to Mary Belle Fowler in Tennessee.
