At six o'clock P. M. today Father called us boys to him and said Tommy come here Cally you come Willie you come too. When we were all at his bed side he asked do you all understand the deed I made to Willie I T. J. Riker answered yes 35 acres of this 40 being 5 acres that the house and barn are on Yes said Father that is right. Then I want the remaining 45 acres together with the house and barn divided equally with Calvin George and David. But your ma must have the house as long as she lives if she wants it. Cal and Willie must have the Edwards mules and Tommy my mules and wagon. Your ma must have the cow and hogs and other personal property together with all the accounts after my debts are paid. I thought I had better speak now as I might be able to talk after a while.
This was fathers last expressed wish.
