I, Martin Standridge, of Newton County, Arkansas, a farmer do declair the following to be my last will and testament made the 4th. day of February in the year of our Lord 1884. I give and bequeath to my children first. I want my child Cathirn BRANCH to have my horse and my cattle and my hogs and my place where I now live and every thing in my house at my deth and want the old lady, my wife, to live with Cathrine until her death which I now give to her for my love and affection I have towards her and her good and tender care which she taken of me as long as I lived and I now will every thing I possess except my old place and I want it sold and divided between all the rest of my children. You can sell it privately or at publick as you chose which I now sign or authorize to be my name to assigned Martin Standridge Assigned by M. M. Branch, Witness William Branch, Dow Dunlap, this Feb. the 5th. 1884.

We, M. M. BRANCH, William BRANCH and Dow DUNLAP the attesting witnesses to the last will and testament of Martin STANDRIDGE, deceased thereto attached. We each one of us for himself haveing been duly sowrn says that we were present on the 5th day of February 1884 at the said Martin STANDRIDGE deceased residence in Newton County State of Arkansas at the time where said will was made, that we heard the will read over in the presents, haveing and to the understanding of the said testator (Martin STANDRIDGE) and saw and heard him make the reequest that his name be signed thereto. That at that time and place and in our presents and hearing he published and declared that the same was to be and was this his last well and testament, that at his request and in his presents and in the presence of each other we each of us respectively signed our names thereto as attesting witness that the said Martin STANDRIDGE was at that time of sound and disposing mind, though week in bod! y had his reasoning proved sufficient to fully understand and comprehend the nature, effect and object of said will and he the said testator fully understood the will as it is hereto attached and asked that the same be recognized and carried out as his last will and testament and said will was signed published and declared by the said Martin STANDRIDGE as and for his last will and testament in presnts of us who on his presents and at his request and in the presents of each other subscribed our names as witnesses thereto on all of the above we do solomly swear to be true. March 31 AD 1884.
