Notes: A Thick flat rock covers the entire grave above ground about
14 inches. Mrs. James Harvey Clark, Nancy, hid her saddle
under it during the Civil War to keep it from being taken
by looters. One legend surrounding this man is that he was
killed in a feud fight and the victor did a dance on the
stone slab atop the grave.
