Bobby L. Ball, 64, of 197 E. Glen, Farmington, died Monday, June 29, 1998 at the Northwest Medical Center in Springdale. He was born March 23, 1934 in Texarkana, the son of Rev. O.R. Ball and Sylvia Pifer Ball. He attended church at the Living Faith Pentecostal Church of God and was a gospel singer. He managed the Elmdale Total Station in Springdale. Survivors include: his wife, Betty L. Patrick Ball of the home; two sons, Bobby Michael Ball of Rogers and David Carroll Ball of Fayetteville: three step sons, Wayman Burke White of Farmington, Mark Stephen White of Rogers and Jon Gregory White of Fort Smith; two step daughters, Margaret Ann McComas of Fayetteville and Tara Lynn Foster of Prairie Grove; his father and mother, Rev. O.R. and Sylvia Ball of Farmington; one sister, Bonnie Carolyn Christian of Ogden, Utah; one foster sister, Agnus Bratton of Bell Gardens, California; 15 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 2, 1998 at the Living Faith Pentecostal Church of God in Fayetteville with Buel Curtis officiating. Burial will be in the Patrick Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Living Faith Pentecostal Church of God, 1351 Morningside Drive, Fayetteville, AR 72701. La Vee Barnes, 81, of Fayetteville died May 30, 2001, at Fayetteville. She was born March 16, 1920, in Many, La., to Marion and Liddle Lewing. William Eber Barnes, 81, of Springdale died May 26, 2001, at Springdale Health and Rehabilitation Center. He was born May 5, 1920, at Copeland (Van Buren County) to O. Elmer and Bessie Hodges Barnes. He was a retired carpenter and a member of Temple Baptist Church. He was an Army veteran of World War II, serving in the South Pacific in 1941. Survivors include his wife, Alma Emerson Barnes of the home, to whom he was married in 1944; one son and daughter-in-law, Gary Barnes and April of Cut Off, La.; four brothers, E. Quinton Barnes of Springdale, J.B. Barnes and Raymond Barnes, both of Prineville, Ore., and Darrell Barnes of Springdale; one sister, Reda Mae Paharam of Oklahoma; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Sisco Funeral Chapel in Springdale with the Rev. Charlie Foster officiating. Burial will be in Friendship Cemetery. Frederick Ralph Baughman 1st, 61, of Elkins, died Monday, June 29, 1998 at Washington Regional Medical Center. Hew was born March 12, 1937 in Cripple Creek, Colorado to Ernest E. and Stella Ruyle Baughman. He was a retired SMSGT with the U.S. Air Force, During his years of service, he was stationed at the following Air Force Cases; Morroco, Torrejon in Spain, Hahn in West Germany, Mather in Sacramento, California, Wright Patterson in Dayton, Ohio, Carswell in Ft. Worth, Texas and Schilling in Salina, Kansas. He was preceded in death by a daughter, E. Laine Estella Baughman, April 19, 1971 Survivors include: his wife of 41 years, Ruby Mae Corbell Baughman of the home; four sons, Frederick Baughman II of Elkins, Everett Baughman of Santee, California, De Wayne Baughman of the home and Solomon Baughman of Fayetteville; five daughters, DeLain Hunter of New Port Richie, Florida, Estella Nelson of Wesley, Venitta Barrows of Tulsa, Oklahoma and LaDawna Baughman of the home; two brothers, Eddie Baughman of Tulsa and Ted Baughman of Oregon; two sisters, Ruth Edens of Ponco City, Oklahoma and Violet Dennis of Elkins; sixteen grandchildren, Roy, Danny and Angel Hunter, Jamie, Ricky, Jenny, Jessy and Athena Hunter, Angel, and Vicki Baughman, Britney Bowen, Trisha, Brandon and Mitchell Nelson, and Elaine and Lacy May Baughman; three great-grandchildren, Caleb, Harley and Roy. Funeral services will be at 4:00 p.m. Thursday, July 2, 1998 at Pinnacle Church on Pinnacle Mountain, with the Reverend Jim Harris officiating under the direction of Beard's Funeral Chapel of Fayetteville. June Bennett, 73, of Boston, Arkansas, died February 27, 2001 at her home. She was born April 11,1927 at Boston, Arkansas, the daughter of Ed and Ruby Silvis Johnson. She was a homemaker and a faithful member of the New Home Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her parents and one son, Calvin Bennett who died on June 19, 1999. Survivors include: her husband, Otto Bennett of the home; one son and two daughters-in-law, Glen and JoAnn Bennett and Linda Bennett, all of Boston, Arkansas; two daughters and sons-in-law, Fern and Doug Thornberry and Janice and Herb Jordan, all of Boston, Arkansas; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Jean and Lorene Johnson of Huntsville, Arkansas and Foye and Louise Johnson of Pettigrew, Arkansas; one sister and brother-in-law, Fonda and Dale Callaway of Pettigrew, Arkansas; nine grandchildren and ten great- .grandchildren. Wayne Bennie, 76, of Dover, formerly of Clarksville, died Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2002 at Legay Lodge Nursing Home at Russellville. Born July 5, 1925, at Walnut, he was the son of the late T. L. and Ora Snow Bennie, a graduate of Deer High School, attended College of the Ozarks, was a verteran of World War II and a retired assistant manager of Dover Supermarket. He was preceded in death by a brother, Wade Bennie. Survivors include his wife, Opal Taylor Bennie; a daughter, Ora Jane Harrell of Dover; and a grandchild, Gretchen Brannon of Russellville. James Oliver Berry, 92, of Clarksville died Tuesday, June 6, 2000, at his home. He was a native of Newton County, son of the late Molee and Cora Faught Berry, Navy veteran of World War II, former postmaster at Fallsville, owned and operated a grocery store at Fallsville and Deer for several years, and was preceded in death by two wives, Delphia Harris Berry and Gracie Terry Berry; and one son, Doy Leo Berry. He is survived by two daughters, Joyce Estes of Harrison and Peggy James of Clarksville; two sons, L. C. Berry and Vernie Berry, both of Clarksville; three sisters, Stella Freeman and Ortha Heater, both of California, and Effie Long of Harrison; three brothers, Corby Berry of Harrison, Omer Berry of California, and Harley Berry of Independence, Mo.; 11 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Audie Marie Bivens, 92, of St. Paul, Arkansas passed away on Friday, Sept. 17, 1999, at a Huntsville nursing home. She was born June 9, 1907 at Combs, Arkansas, a daughter of Tony and Miranda Cornett Wood. She was a former owner/operator of a convenience store, a Baptist, and a life long resident of northwest Arkansas. Survivors include one son, Jimmy Waylon Bivens of Fayetteville; two sisters, Ada Van Brunt and Minerva Mitchell both of California; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Her husband James Henry Bivens, preceded her in death in 1977. The family will hold a memorial service at 3 p.m. Oct. 17, 1999 at the ST. Paul Bible Church in St. Paul with the Rev. Kenneth Wayne Blanks, 47, of Fayetteville passed away Tuesday, May 29, 2001, at his home. Mr. Blanks was born and reared in Port Arthur, Texas, to Joseph Blanks and the late Mary Beth Boyd. He moved to Fayetteville in the early 1980s and began working at Coy's Restaurant in 1982. He retired in 1997. Kenneth was a member of the First Baptist Church in Fayetteville and was very active in the Lifestyles program. He was also very proud to be the first Lifestyles client to own his own home. Survivors include his father, Joseph L. Blanks of Port Arthur, Texas; three sisters, Jerry Sharp of Van Buren, Marilyn Kaiser of Vidor, Texas, and Cynthia Buckner of Cassville, Mo.; one brother, Edward Blanks of Springdale; an uncle, Clayton Boyd of Fort Worth, Texas; seven nieces and five nephews. A funeral service will be held Saturday, June 2, 2001, at 11 a.m. at Nelson's Funeral Home in Fayetteville. Interment will be in Fitzgerald Cemetery immediately following. Harry L. Bolles age 78 of Marble Falls died Saturday, March 24, 2001 at North Arkansas Regional Medical Center. He was born September 2, 1922 the son of Lew and Marquerite Rosseter Bolles at Eau Claire, Wisconsin. Mr Bolles had been a resident of Newton County for 17 years and a prior resident of Memphis, Tennessee.. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints. Married 54 years to his wife Mary Estella Bolles on March 21, 2001. Retired salesman with Avionics Equip and was a pilot all his life. He served in the Navy as an Aviator during WWII flying off aircraft carriers and served in the South Pacific. He loved fishing, gold, gardening and animals. Survivors include Mary Estella Grigga Bolles of the home, one son H. Vaughn Bolles of Collierville, Tennessee, three daughters; Kathy Schaffer, Peggy Corley McDowell and Patty Rae Gibson all fo Marble Falls, two sisters: Jeannette Kite and Pat Waste, one brother Edson Bolles of Wisconsin, 9 grandchildren 6 great grandchildren with four on the way. Services were Wednesday, March 28, 2001 at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Harrison with burial in Ivy Springs Family Cemetery under the direction of Christeson Funeral Home of Harrion.
