Miles H. Casey served as Private, Company K 7th Arkansas Cavalry.

Enlisted: July 9, 1863 Clarksville, Arkansas

Captured: September 27, 1864 Pilot Knob, Missouri; taken to Military Prison at Alton, Illinois.

Transfered: December 7, 1864 to Rock Island, Illinois Military Prison.

Died: January 18, 1865 Rock Island Military Prison

Burial: Grave # 1786

Miles H. Casey was the son of John and Polly Marion Casey. His family settled in Madison County, Arkansas after leaving McMinn County, Tennessee. His wife was Rachel Edgemon of Newton County, daughter of Braxton Edgemon and Polly Casey.
