SUTTON PRODUCTS INC.

Sutton Products, Inc.

This modern Handle Factory, one of the four largest in the U. S., had a modest beginning as a split bottom chair factory in Lurton, Ark. Mr. I. C. Sutton Sr. made chairs and sold them in his General Store.

In 1929 Mr. Sutton sold the General Store and began manufacturing rough-turned handles.

The growing I. C. Sutton Handle Factory was moved to its present location in Harrison by Mr. Sutton and his two sons, I. C. Jr. and H. W., in 1952.

In 1958 the business was incorporated as Sutton Products, Inc. Mr. I. C. Sutton Sr. retired from active managment and became Chairman Of The Board. I. C. Sutton Jr. became President and General Manager and H. W. Sutton, Secretary-Treasurer.

Today Sutton Products, Inc is a multimillion dollar business operating from a 90,000 sq. ft. factory and employing 95. Much of the lumber used in their products comes from Sutton owned timber land, is processed by their four saw mills and three dry kilns. However, more than 2 million board feet of timber was purchased locally in 1977.

For more than 20 years three generations of Suttons have worked together in this family owned business for a better product and a better company.
