Her life is a complete pattern,
Simple in beauty with great value,
Priceless knowledge from years of experience,
Open to learning like the mind of youth,
Willing to listen when you need a friend.
She is honest about the answer she gives,
Drawing strength from her dedication to God,
Simple and open, giving love to us freely,
Special to her family in every way,
She is all that and more.
Draw together in a complete pattern,
Always herself, despite the toil of the day.
She uses her talents to help in the growth
And beauty of flowers and her garden free of weeds.
Grandma uses her hands to make beautiful quilts.
She gently fits each piece to form a pattern.
She is like those quilts she has made.
Her life's experience are the pieces she uses.
Time is the the thread used to hold them together.
Her knowledge is a complete pattern brought together.
