Philemon Edgmon was son of Thomas K. Edgmon and Nancy Percy.
At the end of the war and upon his release, Philemon Edgmon boarded a steamboat in Louisiana and
headed for home. Somewhere along the way, he and several other men left
the crowded boat and made the journey back home to Arkansas by foot.
