He married Eliza Meeks January 1875 in Galena, Stone County, Missouri, daughter of Jeremiah Meeks and Elizabeth. She was born 1856 in Arkansas, and died Abt. 1930 in Wharton County, Texas.

Cagle son of Henry and Martha I Pine Tree Cagle was the younger brother of Charles Arter and Henry Carson Cagle, and sister Nancy Cagle Standridge who was married to Jeremiah Standridge who was the cousin of Lydia Margaret "Lidie Standridge, who was married to Charles Arter Cagle. Henry and Martha's children names were Nancy b-1837, Susanna b-1840, Rebecca 1842, Charles Arter 1844, Sarah Ann "Sally" 1847, Henry Carson 1849, James J. 1855, Mary Elizabeth 1858, Margaret C. 1860 and maybe another son ???.
