In 1997, I asked my sister, Patsy Haynes Coonts, how her husband, Freddy Coonts' mother, Gertie Gilmore Coonts', was related to Walter Gilmore, father of my friend Betty Gilmore.

The following information is what Patsy gave me in 1997. (Patsy died October 1998)

Freddie George Coonts' mother was Gertie Gilmore Coonts Harp. Gertie first married Johnny Coonts, second marriage was to Othar Harp.

Gertie's father was George Gilmore who was Billie Ace Gilmore 1st, brother.

George Gilmore, son of Kelsey Gilmore and Emalene Mayberry Gilmore, married Julie Campbell, daughter of Peter Campbell 1st and Nancy Smith

 They had:  four boys and four girls
    the four boys:
    1.  Billy Ace Gilmore, 2 " Ace"
        Married Nancy Smith, 
        had Norma Jean, Odel, and Billie George.
        Ace Gilmore died in 1995 Nancy and children 
        are still living.(1999)

    2.  Luney Gilmore
        Had Tackle Place at Lurton
        Married three times
        Luney died 1996
 
    3.  Talmidge Gilmore

    4.  Floyd Gilmore
        Lora Gilmore McClellan's  dad
          Lora lives near Jasper (1999)
    
    the four girls:
    1. Gertie Gilmore
       Married Johnny Coonts, then Othar Harp

    2. Randy Bell Gilmore
       Lives in Kansas City, Missouri (1999)
       Freddy talks to her on phone 

    3. Tessie Gilmore
       Married John Monroe Hallum  

    4. Clarie Gilmore
       Married a Reddell
       Clarie's daughter Magdalene and her husband
       Shorty (Kansas City, MO 1999)

Gertie Gilmore Coonts Harp's mother was Julie Campbell, daughter of Peter Campbell, Julie married first a Smith and had two children, then second married George Gilmore.

George Gilmore & Julie Campbell Gilmore had:

Gertie Gilmore Coonts Harp-Married Johnny Coonts. Their children:

  1.  Guy Coonts who lives in Southwest
               Missiouri with his wife, Dorcus.
           2.  Wilda Coonts, killed in a plane crash 
               along with her husband in the 70's.
           3.  Freddie George Coonts, living in 
               Kansas City (1999)

(From Freddie: His dad, Johnny Coonts, was sick a long time, then passed away. Gertie Gilmore married Othar Harp from Jasper. Gertie passed away, Othar Harp died in 1993.)
