Many of the Eddings family are buried at Carver Cemetery, located on 123 highway south on the south side of the Buffalo River. My husband's Eddings family is all buried there. I'm just not sure who's who.

James and Lizzie Eddings traded a farm or property in Oklahoma to an Eddings brother who lived on Big Creek just a mile or so of Buffalo. Lizzie was a Rhynes from Wells Creek, Newton County, Arkansas. Her father's name is not known, but an Uncle Noah Rhynes lived in California and had a son named James Rhynes, apparently both deceased.

James and Lizzie's children:
l. Troy who married Dess, last name unknown right now, they lived on 123 at Hasty; both are deceased, had four children: Wanda, Jimmie (girl), Leon who lives in Wichita, and Mary Sue.
2. Goldie who married Bart Rich, children were James, and Eunice who lived in California. I believe all of them are deceased.
3. Mamie marrried Earl Burdine, their children: Nathan, Mary Ann, Harold and one more girl I believe. Mamie and Earl lived south of Mt. Judea on 123
4. Roth (maybe Gerotha) married a Cowles, had several children and lived in California, are all probably deceased.
5. Jesse Gibbon, known as Jay, my father-in-law, was born April 23, 1917 at Hasty. He married Edith Lee Smith from Red Rock in September of 1935. He is deceased. Edith's parents were Vinea Smith Burdine and David Crocket Smith, Mt.Judea Dave Smith, is how they always distinguished him from another Dave Smith.
6. Jobe who married Norrella Hamilton and lived on 123 at Piercetown, next to Ruth Norton on the north. They had several children, Betty Jo, Mary Frances, Jimmie, and so on, maybe about eight or so. One son of Jobe Eddings is buried at Mt. Judea Cemetery.
7. There was another son who died young, probably about 3 yr old, his name was James.

Jay and Edith moved to Kansas City, Kansas in 1948. Their children are Ervin, my husband born at Hasty, Arkansas...Jessie Lee born at Hasty...and David Lavern born at Red Rock. Erv married Nedinne Frances Etzel at Vendor, Arkansas...Jessie married Jimmie Lee Mc Cutcheon at Mt Judea...David married Betty at Vendor or Piercetown.

Erv and I have six children, Patti, Linda, Sharon, Margaret, Steven born December 14, 1959 and Erv Jr. Our son Steven is buried in Carver Cemetery. He died April 23, 1984 in an auto accident on 65 south at Elm Creek in Valley Springs.

Jessie and Jim live on 74 at Bass. Their children are: Rockie who married Shiela Middleton, they live at Vendor...Selena...Diana who married Donald Greenhaw, lives at Western Grove...Joey who has five sons...Eunice married Sheldon Bolin, they live on 74 near Bass...Anthony...and Kevin.

David and Betty's children are: Kenneth, wife is Dana a school teacher at Deer...Lee Allen and wife Tracey live at Wayton...and Michael who has a son Michael Jr.
