Allen's parents are:
(Dorcas) Eliza Alexander and (William) Hamilton McClatchy Jr, as demonstrated by the will of Abraham Alexander, Eliza's father, in which he makes reference to Allen as a grandchild. Allen's fate is unknown, one story is that he ran off with another woman to go on the goldrush, another says he was killed by Indians. His death date and place are unknown.
