| Comments: | My grandmothers name I was told was Lieutitia Martin or Dorothy Lu Tishie Martin. According to her marriage license on 3/21/1893 she at the age of 16 married A. J. Criss. They according to their marriage license said they lived in Cassville Arkansas in Newton county. I have looked for her name on several resourses. She had two brothers Will and Jim Martin and a sister Mary Martin. I have been unable to locate any other information on them. There are some Martins burried in the Cassville cemetary but I don't know if they are her relatives. Any help would be greatly appreciated |

They raised a family of 11 children . I have their names and dob's if needed. She was told to be half indian. I got to visit them once when I was about 7 or 8 yrs old. | Comments: | I have the marriage books but couldn't find Isom. He was a minister[church unknown] and is shown performing marriages in the 1880s in Newton County. He moved in and out of the county until about 1874 or 1875 when married Mary Gaylor. the federal census from 1880 to 1900 show him in Newton Co. but I can find no record of burial or marriage. In 1870 he was living in Dallas Co., MO. married to Sarah, next census 1880 shows him in Newton Co. with wife, Mary. I have found a record of the marriage of his daughter, Sarah J., to Samuel Skaggs. |

| Comments: | Just a ghost of our past? scott massey had a large family he left in greene county, Ill, only one da, florence Massey Perry, lots of grand children all looking for him. was known last to be around Paris, ar, state welfare papers on him 1937. my dad who is 97 went to Gaither mt and picked him up in 1927 or 28, was known to be around alpena , harrison. grandma born near silaom springs, she married in fayettville in 1900 to charles perry, state says no death records on Scott Massey .grandma didnt know her mother, last seen her when scott was taking her away as a very young child,always said she was better off not knowing her mother! grandma and other look to have indian in them,dad says may be buried on gaither mt in unmarked grave, state papers say a festus williams family looking after him and a dr. thompson attending him, i can find none of these. was known to be a gambler,and was known to be in company of some outlaws and had a cabin somewhere on gaither mt, my uncle says it was there in 70s and then later some one moved it. just want to know his final resting place and who grandma perrys mother was. any one out there related? e mail me, Dona Perry Meeker. I was told gaither mt is partly in Newton County? |
