| Requested Surname: | EDDINGS |
| Full name, if known, of husband: | James |
| Full maiden name, if known, of wife: | Elizabeth Rhynes |
| Comments: | Some names mentioned in notes are Busby, Box, also there is apparently a pattern of Job, James, Job, James to the Eddings line. I'm wanting to go back from James and Lizzie. This is my husband's family. His father is Jay (Jessie Gibbon) and his siblings were Troy, Goldie, Roth (apparently Gerotha) Mamie, and Jobe. There was one son who died at a young age, James. His mother is Edith Smith whose parents were Vinea Smith BURDINE SMITH and David Crockett SMITH and any info on them would be appreciated also. thanks so much for any info. nedinne@ozarkmountains.com |

| Requested Surname: | Jones |
| Full name, if known, of husband: | Joseph Jefferson Jones |
| Full maiden name, if known, of wife: | Phoebe Dunlap |
| Comments: | I found Phoebe Dunlap (my ggrandmother-have full history on her) in the 1870 Census of Newton County. Family history says she and Joseph Jefferson Jones(b.11-23-1856) met and married near Deer Creek in Newton County in 1878. He is my brick wall. Fam history says his father 'Joe' was killed by bushwackers along with fathers' cousin 'Will'. Joseph had one sister named Tennessee. Thank you for the great site, it is outstanding. |

| Requested Surname: | MEEK(S) |
| Full name, if known, of husband: | (possibly John) Meeks |
| Full maiden name, if known, of wife: | Martha Ann Clark |
| Comments: | In my previous request for John and Nancy Clark, I listed Martha as 1 on the 1880 census. That is an error. The census listed her as 12. Martha Ann married a man named Meeks in AR and had two children: John Jr and Hettie or Hattie. The children were born in 1886 and 1887. I haven't found the marriage record or what became of the husband. Martha remarried in 1894 to Isom Ralls in Cache, I T. |

| Comments: | This family was in MO in 1866. At some point they came southward to AR. It is believed that they were in Berryville Carroll Co AR for a time. I found them on the 1880 census of Newton Co. With them are Martha, dau, age 1; William, son, age 9 and Rebbecca dau, age 4, and Nancy's son Rudolph Simpson. This family is in Indian Territory, Choctaw Nation in 1900. Does anyone have data on them during the time they were in Newton Co? |

| Requested Surname: | Smith |
| Full name, if known, of husband: | William Edward Smith |
| Full maiden name, if known, of wife: | Mary Zula Anderson |
| Comments: | The only info I have on William Edward SMITH comes from my grandfather's birth certificate. He was Frank Campbell SMITH b 31 Oct 1902 in Arlie, Childress Co., TX, to William Edward SMITH b AR and Mary Zula ANDERSON b Llano, Llano Co., TX. At some point after 1902, William and Zula migrated to Pinon, Otero Co., NM, and had a goat farm. Their other children's names were Mattie Bell SMITH m Paul STEVENSON, Guy SMITH m Mabel (?), and William P. (Feller) SMITH m Theodosia (?). Since my grandfather's middle name was Campbell, I'm curious if it was taken from William Edward's mother's maiden name or even Mary Zula's mother's maiden name. Who knows at this point! lol Thank you so much for doing this even if I don't find my William. Your efforts are much appreciated! Karen Dunn Maumelle, AR |
