Kenneth Inman From: James Rogers Surname: Prock ~ Elizabeth Rodgers Comments: I hope I'm not asking for too much with these requests, but we have three sisters whose married names appear on your surname list. The second is Elizabeth but I don't have a name for her husband, she was born in 1847 if that helps, she had three children (we think) Mandy, Rinday & Joe. The Rodgers family lived in Camden County, MO up through the 1860 census, Boone County, MO in 1870 and from there who knows. We do know one of the brothers to Dorinda & Elizabeth married in Conway County, AR in 1880. Thanks for your help. From: James Rogers Surname: Hulstine, Samuel ~ Dorinda Rodgers Comments: We know that the Rodgers were in Camden County, MO for several years but not sure if that is where Dorinda married Samuel. Dorinda was a Hulstine in the 1870 census but her Rodgers family were there also in the same township. If you have any info on Samuel and/or Dorinda I would be very grateful! Thanks. As a child my daddy, Errol Haynes, worked for stave mills all over the county and we lived in tents and old store buildings. I remember living at Mossville, Fallsville, Moore, Deer (twice) Swain, Richland, and the postoffices where we got our mail. Last year I had a letter from a man from Missouri who lived in Mossville as a child.... He told me of his memory of the old mill camp there. He said he would never forget the day when he was about four years old, he and his sister were playing in the woods and smelled light bread baking...He said they followed the smell and it came from a tent in the mill camp. My mother,(he said a pretty black headed lady... Iva (Woodard) Haynes saw them outside her tent and invited them inside to have some fresh baked bread with butter and jelly...Said he would never forget the taste and smell of that bread.
