Sources: (1) Nettie W. Glover, Pasadena CA (Old, yellowed carbon copies of typed pages in Elta and Leon Gillespie files), According to her typed DAR "Applicants Working Sheet" Nettie Glover was the daughter of Frances Heath White and Lewis White. Frances was the daughter of James Heath and Jane Ayer. James was a son of Chandler Graham Heath. It is probable that this info was sent to Elta and Leon Gillespie by May Martin Gray, daughter of Betsy Martin Heath Beecher, when Dad lived in Hollywood. Though not dated, one document possessed by Elta and Leon Gillespie includes another document dated Dec 31, 1931. A third document is dated 1938. One may postulate that Nettie's first husband, E. R. Glover either died or they divorces and that Nettie remarried Mr. Wolcott before 1843. Nettie White Wolcott of Pasadena CA, states that she was the daughter of Frances C. Heath and Lewis White. They are therefore the same person. Most likely Glover was her first husband. Wolcott's info on Chandler Heath and his family's births, marriages and deaths is printed in New Hampshire Family Records in 1943 and in 1958 in FHL US?CAN Film 0854142, Item 1 at the Mormon's Family History LIbrary. BGP, Notes say he was single and was "shot while hunting". No dates cited. (2) Karen Heath Penman, Rootsweb Karen Heath Penman's page (http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~heathpage/index.htm Email genwebnut@aol.com), Source of ALL info on this page is Nettie White Wolcott's work, 1958 Pasadena CA. Contained in FHL US/CAN Film 0854142 Item 1. Nettie Wolcott's grandfather was James Heath b. 1833 and her grandmother was Jane Ayers. See source Nettie White Wolcott for more info. places his birth in 1802. David Perdue also uses her dates. (3) 1810 Federal Census, Conway, Strafford Co NH (p 581), In the 1810 census only 3 of Benjamin's 6 sons are referenced, suggesting Lewis had died by 1810. If Lewis was born during or before 1794 he would have been age 16 or older when shot while hunting. If he was born in 1802 as cited by Penman, he would have been age 8 or under when shot while hunting. Thus I suspect Lewis may have been born in 1794 or earlier. No other children appear to have been born in 1794. (4) 1810 Federal Census, Conway, Strafford Co NH (p 581), This census reports only 3 of Chandler's 6 sons. (We know Chandler was not in his parents household by 1810) and two different descendants say Lewis died young. (5) Mildred Hill Heath, wife of Clayton Noyes Heath, who descends from John Willis Heath, Mildred Hill Heath of Center Conway NH (unpublished family records shared with me in 2001. Permission to use name granted in Aug, 2005), I first met and obtained records from Mildred in 2001 when she was age 92. We met again in Fryeburg 10/10.2005 when she was age 96 and she updated/corrected the John Willis Heath line, specifically Edwin H Heath's son Clarence (Cad) and the Orrin Heath line. Errors appear in my Aug 2005 published info. (BGP Nov 2005), MIldred told me in a personal meeting in 2001 that Lewis died young. (6) Daughter of Betsey Heath and George Martin Sr., May gave info to my father in the1930s when both lived in L.A. CA, May Martin Gray (11/29/1934 signed statements in Gillespie family file and ad'l signed stmt in another descendant's file, given to me 6/0), May did research in 1930s in the LA; May also gave Heath/Martin family group info and Nettie Glover's1930s info to my father and his brother. Family group sheet states he was single and shot while hunting. Copyright 2006 Betty Gillespie Pollack Name Index
