Sources: (1) Alvah Carver, Conway Historical Society Alvah Carver papers (unpublished notes handwritten in file folder), Mr. Carver did extensive research on the Heaths. This is most interesting since Joshua obviously knew our Benjamin Heath family. Remember Mildred Heath is positive there was no relationship between Joshua and Benjamin and there are no cemetery or land or vital records to establish any relationship. (18) Living Descendant of Elizabeth Heath Warren (email dated 19 Sept 2005), Elizabeth, daughter of Benjamin Heath and Betty Lewis, was her ggg grandmother. Elizabeth was the daughter of Betty Lewis and Benjamin Heath. Proof is Elizabeth Heath Warre. (19) Gravestone, Using age cited on his gravestone, Benjamin was born in either late Dec 1749 or Jan 1750. BGP wrote to Vital Statistics Dept in Concord NH, which has no record of his birth. Also visited Town Clerk office in Barrington, NH. Oct 2001. All their early records (except one book which fortunately records his marriage) burned in a fire. I also visited Concord and Fryeburg Historical Societies, which have no definitive proof of Benjamin's birth, nor do any remaining living relatives or 2 other Maine/NH genealogical researchers, one of whom is a Heath descendant. (20) Marriage Certificate, Says he was from Barrington. Also Heath verbal family history says he was from Barrington, as per conversation with Mildred Heath, age 92, wife of the late Clayton Heath, who descends from John Willis Heath, one of Benjamin's children. Oct 2001. (21) Mildred Hill Heath, wife of Clayton Noyes Heath, who descends from John Willis Heath, Mildred Hill Heath of Center Conway NH (unpublished family records shared with me in 2001. Permission to use name granted in Aug, 2005), I first met and obtained records from Mildred in 2001 when she was age 92. We met again in Fryeburg 10/10.2005 when she was age 96 and she updated/corrected the John Willis Heath line, specifically Edwin H Heath's son Clarence (Cad) and the Orrin Heath line. Errors appear in my Aug 2005 published info. (BGP Nov 2005), Cites his birth as 11/ 1752 in Barrington. (22) Gravestone. I copied records which are filed in master Unrelated Heaths notebook. The only interesting one is a Betsy Heath b 1797 in Grafton NH, died age 100 in Canaan 9 Dec 1897. No info on this film is relevant for Betty Lewis Heath. (27) From Original Town Records of Fryeburg, Fryeburg ME Marriages (P. 27 of above document. copied from p. 324, 406 of Original town records), "Nov 25, 1784: Marr. Intent. He has been one of the straightforwarest men I ever knew.", The Fryeburg Historical Society is the repository of all old birth and death records for Fryeburg. They have no record of the death of a Betsy (Lewis) Heath between 1784-1786 according to an email from Peg Chute dated 9/8/2005. (29) Gravestone, "Betsy, wife of Benjamin Heath died" rest of stone is broken and missing. This may be wife of Benjamin Jr and not the first wife of Benjamin Sr. At 9-9-2005 no death record for Betsy Lewis Heath has been located. She is buried way back in the cemetery, obviously one of the early deaths. She must have died before Benjamin met and married Dolly Willey on 15 Sept 1786. Benjamin was in Fryeburg area because he purchased land 15 Mar 1784. He filed intent to marry Betty Lewis of Brownfield Dec 8, 1784. This may be her. See notes for Betsy Carpenter Heath. (30) Gravestone, "Betsy, wife of Benjamin Heath Died" rest of gravestone missing. Mildred Heath said in Oct 2000 that she was Benjamin's wife and that he was married twice.
