Deed Henry Peter Fry to Alexander Edwards 1886
Know all men by these presents that Henry Fry and Drucilla L. Fry his wife of the county of Ste. Genevieve and state
of Missouri, in consideration of the sum of Two Hundred and Five Dollars, to them paid by Alexander Z. Edwards of
the county of Ste. Genevieve and state of Missouri, do grant, bargain and sell, unto the said Alexander Z. Edwards
and his heirs and assigns the following described lot, tract or parcel of land, lying, being and situate in the county of
Ste. Genevieve and state of Missouri, to wit: the southwest quarter of the northwest quarter, and the northwest quarter
of the southwest quarter of section No. 5, in Township No. 30 of range number 7 East, containing 80 acres and is
same land conveyed to said Henry Fry by Barnett Fry and wife by deed dated September 2,1874 recorded in deed
book Z p. 420, Excepting and reserving a plot of ground 10 feet square in the western part of the southwest quarter of
the northwest quarter, on which is buried a child of said Henry Fry, which shall ever be held sacred as a burial spot to
which it is devoted.
The said premises being subject to the following encumbrance, against which he, the said grantor, do not covenant or warrant, to wit: a bond for the sum of $110 in the interest to thereon, given to the county of Ste. Genevieve for the use and benefit of the county school fund of said county, dated November 14, 1879 secured by a mortgage to said county conveying said above described land dated Nov. 14, 1879 recorded in deed book No. 31 p.351. And he, the said Henry Fry for himself and his heirs, saving and excepting the encumbrance hereinbefore described, Does covenant with the said Alexander Z. Edwards his heirs and assigns, that he will, saving said encumbrance, Warrant and defend the premises hereby conveyed against the lawful claims and demands of all persons whomsoever. In witness whereof we have hereunto to set our hands and seals this 20th day of September A.D. 1886. Signed sealed and delivered in presence of F.P. Easley.

Be it remembered that on this 20th day of September A.D. 1886 before the undersigned, a Justice of the Peace within
and for the county of Ste. Genevieve and state aforesaid, personally came Drucilla L. Fry, wife of Henry Fry who is
personally known to me to be the same person whose name is subscribed to the foregoing instrument of writing as
party thereto and acknowledged the same to be her act and deed for the purposes therein mentioned, and the said
Drucilla L. Fry being by me first made acquainted with the contents of said instrument, upon an examination separate
and apart from her husband, acknowledged that she executed the same, and relinquishes her dower in the real estate
therein mentioned, freely and without fear, compulsion or under influence of her said husband.
