Devoted to research on the
Descendants of Johann Valentin Pressler
17th Century Palatine Immigrant
The Descendants of the Palatine immigrant, John Valentine Pressler, who arrived with his family in New York in 1710, are extremely numerous and scattered throughout the United States. The variant spellings of the surname, which have developed as branches of the family have moved into areas of non-German settlement and into frontier areas where educational opportunities were limited, has resulted in many branches having difficulty in establishing their relationship to this family.
This web site is our means of sharing the known history of this family with those who are researching their family lines, and making them aware of the possibility that some Presley family surnames may have originally been Preslar, Pressler, or Bressler. We want to expand the known branches of this family tree and we welcome research and contributions from others in this ongoing project.

LaCelle, published August 2001 with soft cover, 99 pages, 8.5x11, spiral binding, and liberally filled with old photographs of this family. William Hollis Presley was a son of Matthew Henderson (#152 in the Family Register on this web site) & Asenath (Hollis) Presley/Preslar, and a grandson of Matthew William & Abiar (Tift) Preslar. This is a valuable addition to the history of the Preslar/Presley family and will be useful aid to other researchers of the New York branch of the family. The number of copies available is limited and will be offered on a first-come, first-serve basis. The cost is $15.00 per book, plus $5.00 shipping and handling.
