1. Charles Haggerty & Louisa Laverty were 
   m: at St Mary's RCCh,Bangor ME. Charles       
   didn't like the priest in Houlton ME.

2. Some of the Haggerty's settled in the    
   Maritimes.

3. Hannah Laverty had a son William.

4. Father Bill had a twin who d: shortly    
   after birth.

5. Hannah Laverty had a son William who had a    
   tobacco business, that failed.

6. Hannah enjoyed drinking which Martha    
   Haggerty disliked.

7. Mildred thought Martha & her sister 
   Myrtle had an unnatural abhorence to
   the consumption of liquor.

8. Old Tim Donovan & Uncle Johnny Donovan       
   were both womanizers & boozers. Dr Joe    
   Donovan was the worst.

9. Gf Charles Haggerty, early on, was in
   love with "Teeny" Hogan. Old Tim Donovan      
   won her. At her death, during the wake,
   Gf Charles & Old Tim got into a rowe over    
   there past rivalry. The Hogan's,    
   apparently big people, separated them.

10. Gf Charles sojourned to Alaska as 
    part of his trip "out west".
    Purportedly     appointed by the 
    then President of the USA to help
    "open up (??)" northern CA.

11. Gf Charles was in the Bangor State 
    Hosp, acute depression, d: there.

12. Mildred Haggerty attended St Josephs,     
    Bangor ME.

13. Pat Gillen was Gf Charles & Louisa's         
    "best man", as well as their lawyer.

14. Hannah Coleman's, a cousin, husband 
    Tom was Chief of Police in Cambridge MA

15. The Coleman's introduced John Costello
    to Martha Haggerty & were very generous     
    to Mildred. They wanted to adopt her 
    after the demise of her father, 
    Gf Charles Haggerty.

16. Waldo Haggerty, after a household fire,       
    d: of burns & smoke inhalation @ 3.1/2     
    years old. Gf Charles was devestated. 
    "From community leader ------ he sat &        
    twiddled his thumbs ------ he folded     
    right up" Tried susicide ----- Gm Louisa 
    cut him down from a hanging rope in the       
    woodshed. He was then hospitalized in 
    the State Hospital in Bangor ME.

17. Mame Conlogue was a McSheffery, niece to      
    Gf Charles. ----- She attended a RC        
    boarding school in Calais. She was there 
    with Lizzie Abbott, daughter of Hannah        
    Laverty & later became Sister Mary        
    Adelaide. 

18. Mag Kiley, Gf Charles sister, was         
    widowed, stayed 6 years at the Haggerty     
    Ridge residence & is interred at St         
    Mary's, probably with her parents 
    (Peter Haggerty & Nancy McGuire).

19. Mildred's Uncle John Haggerty visited     
    from Portland OR. 

20. Aunt Nancy White was from Ludlow ME 
    (may have been Ggf Peter Haggerty's 
    sister).

21. Gm Louisa visited Mildred in NYC during     
    the winter.

22. Gm Louisa brought up 10 kids alone.

23. Elsie Haggerty eloped with Johnny Lee         
    ------ She was the best in school ---
    ---- wanted her father home so she 
    could take care of him.

24. Mildred had the "gout".

25. The Haggerty family came to Bangor ME         
    thru St John's. Some stayed in the 
    Maritimes, others went on to the States.
