Elizabeth C. Feil
is the creator and web master of this
site. I have a master's degree in American
history from the University of California at
Davis and a master's
degree in library science from the University of
Maryland at College Park. I am currently a Local History & Genealogy
Librarian for a midwestern public library.
Purpose:
This site focuses on California's Sacramento Valley.
It is dedicated to bringing unique historical and genealogical materials—
photographs, letters, diaries, family Bibles, wedding announcements, and
more—
out of the attic, so they can be shared with others interested
in this area and the people who lived there.
All of the families represented in the images,
documents, and commentaries
here have one thing in common:
descendants who ended up in the
the Sacramento Valley.
This site is intended to be a resource for historians and
genealogists. Please view it as a starting point, not the final word,
for research on any subject or family. All of
the information is subject to periodic change
when corrections and improved information
come to my attention.
