Thank you to Jim Davis in Bowie, Texas for the copy he sent of
this photo. I did some creative corrections on the photo, and rebuilt the
nose on 'Hatti' as it was distorted due to crease marks on the photo.
At the time of this photo, most of the family was living in or
near Oklahoma. I have heard my family talk of the families living in 'dugouts.'
I do know that at the time of this photo, Mattie and Carrie lived in Texas.
At one point prior, the family had all lived in Hill county,
Texas.
Carrie Elizabeth Pate Hudson was my grandmother, my father's
mother.
