     Milo I. Somers was born circa 1838 in Vermont.1,2 He was the son of James Selkirk Somers and Charlotte Somers.1,2

     He appeared on the 1850 Federal Census of Barnet, Caledonia County, Vermont in the household of his parents.2

     Milo was a newspaper man, for a time with the Chicago Tribune. He was killed in the Civil War.1
