     Lee Somers was born on Feb 8, 1853 in Vermont.2,3,4,5,6 He was the son of Claud Somers and Louisa Lee.1

     He appeared on the 1860 Federal Census of Ryegate, Caledonia County, Vermont in the household of his parents.2 He appeared on the 1870 Federal Census of Barnet, Caledonia County, Vermont in the household of his parents Claud and Louisa. Despite the name shown on the census form, which looks like Plaie?d, I believe this is Lee; the age is right and he did not marry until 1872.3

     Lee married Mary Ann Hunter, daughter of William Hunter, on Feb 28, 1872.1,4

     Lee died on Dec 28, 1876 at the age of 23 years, 10 months and 20 days, before his son Lee was born.1,4,5,6 He was buried in Barnet Center Cemetery, Barnet.5,6
