     Harriet Almeda Sheldon was born circa 1789 in the United States.1,2

     Harriet married Robert Somers, son of Bartholomew Somers and Susanna Carr, on Dec 4, 1810. The marriage was performed by David Goodwillie.3,4

     Harriet appeared on the 1851 Canadian Census of Orford township, Sherbrooke, Canada East (Québec). Listed with her were her sons Carr and David.1

     Harriet died on May 18, 1867.2 She was buried on May 20, 1867 in the New Protestant Burial Ground, Sherbrooke, by John McKillican, witnessed by Harriet's sons, David Sommers and B. C. Sommers.2
