     James Carr Somers and his twin brother John Sheldon were born on Sep 30, 1865 in Québec.2,3 He was the son of David Goodwillie Somers and Betsey Lucinda Rolfe. He was baptized on Oct 14, 1865 at the Congregational Church in Sherbrooke, Québec.2

     James died on Jul 20, 1867 at the age of 1 year, 9 months and 20 days.4,1 He was buried in the New Protestant Burying Ground in Sherbrooke on Jul 22, 1867 by Arch. Duff, witnessed by James Carr's mother B. L. Sommers, and his uncle B. C. Sommers.1,4
