     Samuel Brooks Somers was born on Oct 30, 1865 in Québec.1,2,3 He was the son of Robert Thayer Somers and Gordon Brown. He was baptized on Apr 8, 1868 at the Congregational Church in Waterville, Québec in the presence of his parents, Robert and Gordon.1

     He appeared on the 1881 Canadian Census of Ascot, Sherbrooke, Québec in the household of his parents.2

     Samuel married Augusta Caswell, daughter of George Caswell and Sabrina (?).3

     Samuel and Augusta appeared on the 1911 Canadian Census of Westbury, Compton, Québec in the household of Augusta's parents.3
