George Silas married Marion Janette Gilkerson, daughter of Walker Minor Gilkerson and Prudence Thayer Somers, on Jul 28, 1886 at the Methodist Church in Sherbrooke, Québec. The ceremony was performed by J. T. Pitcher. In attendence were the bride's brother William John Gilkerson and Selina Anna Ward.1
