     Willard Stevens Gilkerson was born on Nov 28, 1858 in Québec.1,2,3 He was the son of Walker Minor Gilkerson and Prudence Thayer Somers. He was baptized on Oct 29, 1862 at the Congregational Church in Sherbrooke.1

     He appeared on the 1881 Canadian Census of Sherbrooke, North Ward, Sherbrooke, Québec in the household of his parents.2

     Willard married Sadie J. Eames.4,3

     Willard died on Apr 23, 1898 at the age of 39 years, 4 months and 26 days.3 He was buried in Elmwood Cemetery, Sherbrooke.3
