Descendants of Bartholomew Somers
Walker Sheldon Gilkerson was born on Jan 5, 1856 in Canada.1,2,3,4 He was the son of Walker Minor Gilkerson and Prudence Thayer Somers. He was baptized on Oct 29, 1862 at the Congregational Church in Sherbrooke, Québec.1

Walker emigrated to the United States in 1880.3,2

     Walker married Harriet E. (?) circa 1881.2,3

Walker and Harriet appeared on the 1900 Federal Census of Minneapolis, Hennepin County, Minnesota, enumerated Jun 8, 1900, with their children Gertrude and Earl.2

Walker and Harriet appeared on the 1910 Federal Census of Minneapolis, Hennepin County, Minnesota, enumerated Apr 26, 1910, with their children Gertrude and Earl.3

Walker and Harriet appeared on the 1920 Federal Census of Minneapolis, Hennepin County, Minnesota, enumerated Jan 16, 1920, with Walker's sister-in-law Anna Gilkerson. This Anna *may* be the wife of Walker's brother James; the age is close though the birth place given is Canada rather than New York. Anna, James's wife, was enumerated in 1920 as head of household with her children in another part of the city. I do not know whether or not the "sister-in-law" in this household is another Anna, or James's wife mistakenly enumerated twice.4

Children of Walker Sheldon Gilkerson and Harriet E. (?)
