Descendants of Bartholomew Somers
     Marion Janette Gilkerson was born on Nov 23, 1860 in Québec.1,2 She was the daughter of Walker Minor Gilkerson and Prudence Thayer Somers. She was baptized on Oct 29, 1862 at the Congregational Church in Sherbrooke.1

     She appeared on the 1881 Canadian Census of Sherbrooke, North Ward, Sherbrooke, Québec in the household of her parents.2

     At the age of 25, Marion Janette married George Silas Hall, son of Cyrus Hall and Jennie B. Frizzell, on Jul 28, 1886 at the Methodist Church in Sherbrooke. The ceremony was performed by J. T. Pitcher. In attendence were the bride's brother William John Gilkerson and Selina Anna Ward.3
