     Bartholomew Carr Somers was born on Dec 8, 1814 in Barnet, Vermont.2,3,4,1 He was the son of Robert Somers and Harriet Almeda Sheldon.2

     He appeared on the 1851 Canadian Census of Orford township, Sherbrooke, Canada East (Québec) in the household of his mother.4

     He appeared on the 1881 Canadian Census of Sherbrooke, North Ward, Sherbrooke, Québec in the household of his niece Ambrosine and her husband William Coulter.1 William Coulter household

     Bartholomew died on Aug 25, 1884 at the age of 69 years, 8 months and 17 days.5 He was buried on Aug 27, 1884, from the Congregational Church serving Sherbrooke, officiated by Edward R. Brainerd, with Thomas Somers and R. Somers witnessing.5
