     Anthony Madden was born on Mar 8, 1860 in Plymouth in Michigan.1,2,3,4,5,6,7 He was the son of James Madden and Cornelia (?).1

     He appeared on the 1860 Federal Census of Plymouth, Wayne County, Michigan in the household of his parents.1 He appeared on the 1870 Federal Census of Plymouth, Wayne County, Michigan in the household of his parents.2 He appeared on the 1880 Federal Census of Flushing, Queens County, New York in the household of his parents.3

     Anthony appeared on the 1900 Federal Census of 131 Main Street, New York City, borough of Queens, Queens County, New York, enumerated Jun 7, 1900.4

     Anthony married Mary Meade, daughter of David Meade and Ellen Tremble, circa 1902.8,5

     Anthony and Mary appeared on the 1910 Federal Census of 91 Smart Avenue, borough of Queens, Queens County, New York, enumerated Apr 27, 1910. This census shows that Mary had no children.5

     Anthony and Mary appeared on the 1920 Federal Census of Flushing, Queens borough, Queens County, New York, enumerated Jan 12, 1920. Also in the house was Anthony's sister Ella.6

     Anthony, a widower, appeared on the 1930 Federal Census of Belmar, Monmouth County, New Jersey, enumerated Apr 18, 1930, with his niece Helen B. Meade. This census shows Anthony as married, but his wife Mary died in 1927.9

     Census records show that Anthony worked as a clerk, a grocer and a real estate dealer.

     Anthony died, intestate, on Dec 14, 1930 in Belmar at the age of 70 years, 9 months and 6 days.10,11,7 He was buried on Dec 16, 1930 in Atlantic View Cemetery, Manasquan.7
