     James married Emma Polscroft, daughter of William Polscroft and Christine Kruger, on Dec 31, 1879.5,6

     He appeared with his wife on the 1880 Federal Census of 82 Pearl Street, Cleveland, Cuyahoga County, Ohio in the household of her parents, Christine and William Polscroft.3

     James and Emma appeared on the 1910 Federal Census of Cleveland, Cuyahoga County, Ohio, enumerated Apr 26, 1910.

     James died on Oct 14, 1917 in Cleveland at the age of 65 years and 5 months.4 He was buried on Oct 17, 1917 in Brooklyn Heights Cemetery, Brooklyn Heights, Ohio.4
