     Georg married Marie Schetter, daughter of Heinrich Friederich Ludwig Schetter and Tibetha Gertrude Holtzermann, on Jun 9, 1864 in Miami County, Ohio.5,6,7

     Georg and Marie appeared on the 1870 Federal Census of Piqua, Miami County, Ohio, enumerated Aug 1, 1870, with their children Gertrude D. Dettmer, Hannah Dettmer and Carl Dettmer. Also in the house was Matilda Stiuback, domestic.2

     Georg and Marie appeared on the 1880 Federal Census of Piqua, Miami County, Ohio, enumerated Jun 5, 1880, with their children Gertrude, Hannah, Carl and Emma.1

     Georg, widower, appeared on the 1900 Federal Census of Piqua, Washington Township, Miami County, Ohio, enumerated Jun 1, 1900, with his son Carl.3

     He appeared on the 1910 Federal Census of in the household of James E. Johnson.4 He appeared on the 1920 Federal Census of Piqua, Miami County, Ohio in the household of his daughter and son-in-law, Gertrude and George P. Andrew.8

     Georg died in Jan, 1922 at the age of 83 years and 2 months.9 He was buried on Jan 30, 1922 in Forest Hill Cemetery, Piqua.9
